Are You Really Getting What You Want From Life?

You see people around you making plans, doing the things they said they were going to do, really getting into the flow of being true to who they are! And you find yourself thinking about your life and where you are at - “There has to be more to life than this”, ‘I always thought I’d do so much more’, ‘Why is every one else going ahead in leaps and bounds while I’m just stuck here!; 'How come (insert name) always seems to have time and be so together?'’ If you get clear, very clear, write your goals, dreams, desires, intentions, or whatever other name you want to use, down, you are already 80% more likely to achieve them. I believe when you have yourself as a priority, it makes the other stuff even more achievable.

This is a great time to get that clear vision into play. Often in life one tends to fall into the trap of getting so tied up in what’s happening at the time, that we forget to focus on the big picture. We tell ourselves ‘I’ll do that when I’ve got the house paid off’’, ‘when I get a better paying job’, ‘when sales pick up’, or ‘when the kids are off my hands’. In other words we ‘settle’ for mediocre and before we know it life has passed us by.

Take a minute to think about this – If you were lying on your death bed with all your loved ones around you and reflecting back on your life, could you answer a resounding ‘YES’ to these questions… “Have I done everything I wanted to do in life? Have I lived my life exactly as I wanted too? Have I been who I always thought I’d be? Has my life been extraordinary for me?” Food for thought isn’t it.

The reason some people seem to have it all is that they are focused on what they want, they are focused on who they need to be to achieve their desires and they are focused on what they need to do in order to get what they want. This may sound like it’s a difficult thing to do, but in fact is easier than you think. What you focus on is what you get to the exclusion of everything else.

By working out what you want from life and setting goals, you will work out what you need to focus on to begin to create the life you deserve. Like I said earlier, this is a great time for getting clear on what you want and getting that vision into play.

The law of attraction states that we attract into our lives anything that we give attention too, regardless of whether it is positive or negative.

Grab a journal or a piece of paper, some pens, and follow these tips to get you started...

1. Take some time in a place that you feel relaxed and inspired in. Take a few moments here to breath and clear you head. Perhaps put on some beautiful music.

2. Take out your pen and journal & allow yourself to go into the 'Dream Space' and free write. By this I mean let the words flow freely, whatever comes to mind, no matter how big, how small or how ridiculous you think it may seem. Let your dreams, your greatest desires hit that page.

3. Next look at your list and choose the things that light you up the most. Write those things on a separate page. This is about choosing the most important things and setting your intention.

4. Ask yourself 'If I had these things in my life, how would they make me FEEL?' Can you see yourself with those things... how are you feeling in those pictures? Write it down. When you have attached positive emotions, it strengthens the connection to the outcome.

5. Describe these intentions in very specific detail... get down to the nitty gritty of it all.

6. Now who do you need to be in order to create the necessary vibrational energy to successfully bring those things into your life, what do you need to do. What can you delete, or bring into you life that will support your desires. This step will help you create the blueprint to close the gap from where you are to where you want to be.

Anything in life is possible. For many of us there may need to be some work around clearing limiting beliefs of not being good enough, smart enough, worthy enough, or whatever your limiting belief may be. When you can clear the blocks, get clarity, attach strong positive emotions to your intentions, you can then create a life that will fulfil your every dream.
