5 Steps In The Right Direction

What goals and dreams do you have for you life? What are you carrying over from previous times and what things do you need to leave behind? There is no time like the present to decide what you want your focus on. What has to happen personally and professionally for you to feel TOTALLY SATISFIED with your life? Will it be improved health and fitness, greater relationships, growth and success in your business, or a change in career? Will there be more focus, greater commitment, discipline and consistency? What do you want to grow and achieve in terms of personally for yourself?

Whatever it is, one thing is for certain, you must be sure to set the coordinates into your 'GPS' to ensure you successfully reach your destination. Because without those coordinates, your goals, you don't have a destination. You can't arrive at a destination if you don't know where you are going.

Setting clear written goals hones your focus, gives you direction, and makes it far more likely that you will succeed and actually live the life you desire rather than just drifting through from one year to the next on whatever whim our circumstances present.

This is about taking charge and really committing to being an Action Jackson to have what you want. Remember absolutely ANYTHING is possible and achievable. Think about how you will FEEL when you bring some of your dreams, the things you have thought about for so long, into fruition.

Follow these tips and create your own unique blueprint for life:

  1. 1. Set your Destination. You must start with a clear picture of what you want. Make it clear and specific - this assists with getting the motivational centres purring along. I like to think of this as the dream phase. Allow your imagination to run wild, and the ideas to simply flow. See yourself in that time when you are living your dream. Notice how you FEEL. This is really important.
  2. 2. Fuel your Goal. Take some time to consider why you want to achieve this goal. Why do you want to be healthier/ improve your relationships/ grow your business/ advance your career/be happier/have a joyful family? What will it mean for you? How will you feel when you have it? For what purpose do you want to achieve this goal? Get SUPER clear on this... don't just say "Because I want it".
  3. 3. Commit to the Route. Make a decision to TRULY COMMIT to your journey. Be prepared to do whatever it takes. Maintain the mindset of 'can do', and let no opportunity that comes your way be missed. Surround yourself with people who will encourage you and lift you up when the going gets tough (because at times it will). Have one or two people you know you can rely on to do this for you, and to help keep you on track... or give you a kick in the butt when you go on some meandering track to nowhere.
  4. 4. Start your Engine and Set the Co-ordinates. It's time to do the actions! Every day you must have an intention, discipline yourself, give yourself a command to move you closer to your destination. Consistent action, that is the daily disciplines and habits, no matter how small or how scary, are essential for your success.
  5. 5. Roadblock Alert. There may be some detours, speed bumps or even roadblocks along the way, and that's okay. It will not always be smooth cruising. The key here is to REMAINED FOCUSED on the destination. Be prepared for those detours and speed bumps, because they do exists. The good news is there is always an alternate route. You may need to update your GPS or re-navigate part of the route.

Whatever dreams you decide on to make your reality, remember that this is YOUR LIFE and you hold in your hands THE POWER to make it ordinary or extraordinary. The choice is always yours.

And as you reach each destination you embark upon along the way, remember to take some time to CELEBRATE, to reward yourself for your decision, your commitment your actions and your success. Embrace the adventure and even more, enjoy it. Be grateful that you made the decision to create the life you want. The life you deserve. And be grateful for the fact that you are giving the gift of choice to yourself and embrace each opportunity along the way.
